High School Volleyball Rules

The Serve
Each volleyball team will have six members on the volleyball court. A coin toss decidesstarting serve. Whomever isin theback right corner serves, underhand or overhand, frombehind the end line, possessing the volleyball so it will beseen. The team that wins rotates clockwise and getsfollowing serve.

Play
Volleyball rules indicate that an individual player is notpermitted to hit the ball two timesin a row, excluding blocks, and each team can hit the volleyball three timesbefore returning it. This particularruleis not going toapply, however, for thevery firstcontactforeither side of the net. A player maytouch the ball two timeson a serve recieve and a dig. The ball may graze the net or landat theboundary line. A serve will not be blocked or attacked.

Scoring
High school volleyball rules state thateach set is played to 25 points additionally , the winning team has to have a two point lead. If for example the set actually reaches a 24-24 tie, the gamecarries ontill one team acquires a two point lead.
